Siemens launches its iQ700 heat pump washer-dryer - Intelligent technology that sets new standards
- Smart solutions such as the i-Dos automatic detergent dispenser, the maintenance-free intelligentClean system and the gentleDry low-temperature drying guarantee excellent washing and drying performance as well as first-class results.
- With its elegant, innovative design, standard dimensions, and a wash and dry cycle for 1 kg of laundry in 80 minutes, the new washer-dryer WL64B2A40 is designed to suit a flexible, modern lifestyle.
Munich, Germany – The new iQ700 washer-dryer from Siemens offers a range of intelligent solutions that empower modern living whilst contributing to a sustainable lifestyle: from i-Dos, which automatically dispenses the correct amount of detergent and fabric softener, to ‘gentleDry’ drying at low temperatures – a feature made possible by heat pump technology – right through to the maintenance-free ‘intelligentClean’ system, an automatic self-cleaning system for removing lint.
Minimal effort, maximum results
With the i-Dos automatic detergent dispenser, the new washer-dryer automatically dispenses the correct amount of detergent and fabric softener for every wash cycle, so the user no longer has to worry about it. Another clever solution is the ‘intelligentClean’ system, which automatically removes lint during every wash and dry cycle and also cleans itself. The water passes through the evaporator, the condenser and an additional filter without any further intervention being required. For drying, the new heat pump washer-dryer offers the smartFinish special programme that reduces creases by up to 50 %1 in clean, dry laundry by simply generating natural steam, thereby reducing the need for ironing.
Intelligent laundry care
Thanks to heat pump technology, the iQ700 washer-dryer features the ‘gentleDry’ function which dries laundry gently at low temperatures – in fact, up to 40 %2 lower than in conventional condenser washer-dryers. This is particularly recommended for wool, down and outdoor clothing.
The washer-dryer also makes it possible to remove a wide range of particularly stubborn stains3 – such as grass or coffee stains – without any pre-treatment. Once the type of stain has been selected, the wash cycle automatically adjusts to achieve optimal washing results.
A tribute to sustainability
Equipped with heat pump technology and a range of smart solutions the new Siemens heat pump washer-dryer achieves energy efficiency class A for ‘washing and drying’ and an exceptional rating of A-20 %4 per 11 kg wash cycle for ‘washing’ alone. It thus makes a significant contribution to a modern and sustainable lifestyle.
The WL64B2A40 model has standard dimensions and fits into any standard niche. The new Siemens heat pump washer will be launched in March 2027.
